Security

How BlinkNote protects shared information

BlinkNote is designed to reduce accidental exposure of shared notes through temporary links and sender controls.

Expiry controls

Set note validity from 1 hour to 7 days.

Burn after open

Optionally expire a note after the first successful read.

Passcode protection

Add a passcode layer for sensitive notes.

Open visibility

Track opened status, view counts, and timeline data.

Important limitations

  • BlinkNote currently uses secure application controls, but is not marketed as end-to-end encryption.
  • If a recipient forwards a valid link or screenshots content, technical controls may not prevent that.
  • For highly sensitive use cases, use passcodes and short expiry windows.

BlinkNote is a fast sharing service, not a guaranteed vault. You remain responsible for what you share. For highly sensitive information, use BlinkNote at your own risk and always apply passcodes + short expiry.
